The right path to God

Before I begin, I just wanted to say thank you for reading my blog. I am excited that there are people who are learning about God.

If you are new, I give you my warmest welcome and I am excited to help you through this journey of life and to show you that there is greater blessing through Jesus.

You might not be a believer, or you might be, but I will show you that there is a God of the universe who wants to know you and have a relationship with you.

You probably heard all this somewhere, possibly Christians preaching to you. Or unfortunately you might not have heard the gospel. This is an opportunity to learn about the love and mercy of God through his son Jesus Christ.

Firstly, no matter who you are and where you are from. Jesus loves you and he plans to give you purpose and save your life.

So, you might wonder, what the right path to God?

The right path to God is only through his son Jesus Christ. How do I know for sure. I know because I experienced at the age of 15 the voice of God. After praying for hours fervently one afternoon I heard the voice of the lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus answered my prayer and after that my life changed.

And I told my family, and they were shocked and for a long time I didn't speak for the lord because I didn't know how to tell people about my experience. For me God answered my prayer literally.

God also answers prayers through others and through many platforms, maybe this is how God is answering yours.

So, what is the right path to God? I am going to make it very simple through dot points on how to live for Jesus Christ.

  • First Accept Jesus Christ into your life, praying that you want him in your life and that you want to be saved.  (pray this out loud) in your room alone
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. That he died on the cross for my sin and rose again on the third day for my victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my savior and lord. I pray this in the father, the son and the holy spirit. Amen
  •  Baptism is important and it is the ordinance of the gospel. Go to a near church that will baptize you in the father, son and holy spirit.
"Jesus came and told his disciples, I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit.." - Matthew 28: 18 -19
  • Get yourself a bible (For beginners use the NIV (New international Version) ESV (English standard version, CBS (Christian standard version), NLT (New living translation)                           Begin studying the Gospel which is Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which is about the life of Jesus. You can also purchase a journaling bible if you want to make notes on the side. (you can find it at amazon)
*If you are unable to purchase a bible, go to a church near you and ask for a bible. Or write in the comments below

  •  Join a local church (there are many Christian dominations who preach about Jesus but have different traditions and beliefs.  For me I attend an Eastern orthodox church every Sunday but the most important belief you should have is seeking to have a relationship with Jesus Christ which brings up to the next dot point.
  • Prayer (Talk to God with reverence but also talk to Jesus as if he is your friend and companion. Find a quiet place, shut the door and tell him everything that is in your heart. Your plans, your dreams, your challenges. Make him your companion who also is great, majestic and powerful and can help you throughout your life. Talk to him every day whether it is at night or in the morning and he will give you peace and joy. Prayer is so important never neglect it because Jesus wants to know you

Not Everyone who calls out to me, Lord! lord will enter the kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my father in heaven will enter. on judgement day many will say to me. ' Lord! lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name. But I will reply, ' I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's laws. - Matthew 7: 21-23

  • This leads us to the next point which is Living out the Faith (which is applying your faith to your daily life, following Jesus' life such as loving your Neighbour, practicing forgiveness and being selfless. Being aware of what you say and making sure it doesn't defile you.

  • Resources (There is a lot of resources that you can use to grow your relationship with God such as online sermons, and study guides. For instance, I watch Intouch ministers by Dr Charles Stanely and Creflo Doller ministries which is accessible on YouTube.  Get yourself a notepad, or notebook and take notes. This will help you become more knowledgeable and help you develop a better relationship with God.
  •  Ask question (It is okay to not understand some passage, or to feel lost when you are living a Christian life. Ask your pastor, or read a Christian website, and get answers. Remember to always get answer that aligns with your bible and the word of God.
✝ If you have more questions, please feel free to write in the comment section. I will be happy to answer your questions referring to the word of God. God bless you and have a great day. ✝😀

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age - Matthew 28: 20
