When we struggle? Trials and Temptations

There are many reasons why we struggle in life. But always remember there is a God who is powerful, omnipotent and omnipresent. All you have do is call the name of the Lord, majestic king of the universe. The lord Jesus Christ.

I remember reading the book of job recently and I believe the book of Job is for mature Christians, but it is also powerful story for beginners who are facing trails and temptations.

When I was reading Job with my sister, I realized something powerful in the book of Job. In the book jobs a prominent man who lived in the land of Uz was wealthy, had children and many farm animals.  Job is a man of integrity and fears the lord and stays away from evil.

One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the lord and Satan the accuser also came. And the lord asked Satan " have you noticed my servant job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is a blameless a man of integrity He fears God and stays away from evil.

But Satan replied to the lord, yes, but job has a good reason to fear God. He outlined that he has wall of protection, he has a home and property but if you take everything that he has he will surely curse you to your face!

So, the lord allowed job to be tested by Satan. The lord told Satan " Do whatever you want with what he possesses, but don't harm him physically.

So, Satan took his family, his property. and all that he owned.  Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. He shaved his head and feel to the ground to worship

He said

I came naked from my mother's womb, and I will be naked when i Leave.                                                    The lord gave me what I had, and the lord has taken it away.                                                                          Praise the name of the lord!

Job 1:21

What can we learn from Job from his first test?

Job praised God in the midst of grief, suffering and struggle. He praised God that everything he had is because of God, and everything that he loses is because God takes away.

It is inevitable that we will lose our loved ones, and we will also die someday. What we need to do is be thankful for the life that God has given us.

From a man who lost everything we learn that he is resilient, and truly fears God.  So, what should you do when you go throw trials and temptations

            1.  Read your bible (consider reading psalms, romans, 2 Corinthians, Philippians and 1 peter ) . If you want, you can also purchase a journaling bible to take notes on the side of your bible. (you can purchase koorong, Amazon or Hosanna revival

For example,

Philippians 4:6-7

Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. his peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

          2.  Pray to God through his son Jesus, and the holy spirit about everything (includes everything about your life, friends, family, spouse, your emotions, experiences, struggles, temptations, trials, your journey with God etc.

3. Get connected to a church (Remember to Go to a church that speaks about Jesus Christ, the holy spirit and opens the word of God which is the bible (* and only the bible)

I am excited that you are in this journey with God and remember that trials and tribulations happen for a reason and God loves you and there is a reason why trouble happens in life. Keep relying on God and trust that he is there with you and won't leave you.

I hope that you are encouraged and if you have any questions feel free to write on the comment section and I will answer your question by the word of God through the bible.

'Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you' - Deuteronomy 31:8
